You can find your local candidates through our Find Your Candidates tool. There you'll find a list of the candidates who are being supported by CUPE BC members in your community.

Every community has different dates for when voting starts but one important thing to remember is the last chance to vote is October 17 – that applies to all communities in BC. The easiest way to find out when and where to vote is to search your community name and “elections” to find the official website.

CUPE members in almost every community have worked with local labour councils to compare the candidates running in these local elections. They looked at where the candidates stand on important issues.

After extensive review, they created a list of endorsed candidates who will support smart investments to make the local community better, like more access to recreation facilities, support for libraries, protecting vital infrastructure, and safer classrooms and schools for our kids.

The vital services that our communities rely on are at risk if the candidates who don’t value working people and public services are elected. This will hurt our local community.

That's why CUPE BC members, including members in your community have committed to voting for these endorsed candidates. We encourage you to join them.

It may be the case that CUPE locals in your community are still reviewing candidates. It could also be the case that they have decided to not endorse any candidates.
